"DRIVE LESS, SAVE MORE"

Our group will be discuss about the advantages and disadvantages of using the carpool and using the public transportation. Based on our research, nowadays many of people in Malaysia and also another country already practise this campaign that is ‘DRIVE LESS, SAVE MORE”. This campaign had invited the road user to practise campaign. That is because there are many advantages that people can get from the campaign that government make is “DRIVE LESS, SAVE MORE”. For example we can share the car and we can use the public transportation such as cab, bus and train.
One of the advantages of carpool is can reduces each person's travel costs such as fuel, toll and also can reduce the stress of driving. Carpooling is seen as a more environmentally friendly and sustainable way to travel as sharing journey reduces traffic congestion on the roads and the need for parking spaces. Authorities often encourage carpooling, especially during high pollution periods and high fuel prices. Another benefit for road user is can maintain their health without facing the traffic congestion and volume of traffic on the roads because that is a major source of stress for many drivers. Based on our research, we also can have lower levels of stress, higher morale, and lower blood pressure. Next is, carpool commuting is more popular for people who work in places with more jobs nearby, and who live in places with higher residential densities. Carpooling is significantly related with transport is operation costs, including gas price and with measures of social activities such as spent time with others with eating and drinking, and being unmarried. However, carpooling is significantly less likely among people who spend more time at work, older workers, and homeowners. Lastly, the point is we can save our business environment. By using fewer cars we can less pollution, conservation of habitat, and less demand for new roads and parking lots. The advantages of using the public transportation are very economical. Many of people taking buses and trains because are cheaper than using private cars. If people have their own car, they have to pay a lot of money for service, repairs, and insurance. It maybe will cost all the money people earn. Moreover, there are many discounts for some individuals, like students, old people, and children. They can get cheaper prices by taking public transport. Students have to go to school almost every day, and they usually take public transport to school and home. So it is more economical for students and also the worker. Besides that, by using public transport it can preserve the cleanliness environment. It can reduce pollution because there are less cars driving on the road, and can reduce the congestion. However the disadvantages by using public transportation are inconvenient. For instance, there are always too many individuals on the same bus in rush hour. Maybe thieves are on the bus they take. The public transport does not operate 24 hours a day. People have to follow the time table, so they must wait for it. For many travellers, the most significant disadvantage of public transportation is the possibility of being attacked or robbed. In this situation where travellers are unfamiliar with the customs or language of a particular place, they may be particularly easier to being targeted by criminals. Tourists should learn speak to local guides or hotel employees about the safety of different public transportation options.
